We Have Life In Christ…

What day did you rise to the Lord, our God, Jesus Christ? Was it the day the Lord rose and was resurrected? Was it the first day of the week, the Lord’s Day or was it another day?

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. ~ Exodus 20:8-11 KJB

Before daybreak the vision that was burned into the soul became clear. The Lord was renewing the mind and touching the heart. Then, just like that day He experienced in the tomb, the rock was rolled away, the Light streamed forth and shone upon the soul. Redeemed, born again and created a new. What a day, what a Powerful God we serve.

The Lords Day, His day, our day of worship, reverence and lifting up. The day we wash our soul clean from the week and rejoice in redemption.

Does Sun day, the first day of the week, replace the sabbath, the seventh day of the week? While it is the day the Lord has made are we, humans, empowered to change the 4th Commandment from God? This is the day that “tradition” has taught us that Jesus Christ rose and came back to show the world He is life in us, but is Sunday the actual day this happened? There is no question the resurrection is real, what we are asking is did it happen on Sun day?

The grand reason for changing the Jewish Sabbath to the Lord’s-day is that it puts us in mind of the Mystery of our redemption by Christ.’ The reason why God instituted the old Sabbath was to be a memorial of the creation; but he has now brought the first day of the week in its room in memory of a more glorious work than creation, which is redemption. Great was the work of creation, but greater was the work of redemption. As it was said, The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former.’ Hag 2: 9. So the glory of the redemption was greater than the glory of the creation. Great wisdom was seen in making us, but more miraculous wisdom in saving us. Great power was seen in bringing us out of nothing, but greater power in helping us when we were worse than nothing. It cost more to redeem than to create us. In creation it was but speaking a word (Psa 148: 5); in redeeming there was shedding of blood.1 Pet 1: 19. Creation was the work of God’s fingers, Psa 8: 3, redemption was the work of his arm. Luke 1: 51. In creation, God gave us ourselves; in the redemption, he gave us himself. By creation, we have life in Adam; by redemption, we have life in Christ. Col 3: 3. By creation, we had a right to an earthly paradise: by redemption, we have a title to a heavenly kingdom. Christ might well change the seventh day of the week into the first, as it puts us in mind of our redemption, which is a more glorious work than creation. ~ Source

Is Sun day the day we are to set aside for Jesus Christ? Ra, the sun god, is a false god of ancient Egypt. Ra, the sun god, is still worshiped today by some very, very deeply evil people. It makes me question wether Sun day is the day we, as gentiles, are to take pause, offer praise and focus our attention to God, in the name of Jesus Christ.

We are not smart enough to offer a definitive answer. The answer we accept was written by the finger of God. We are asking these questions as it is important, for us, to ensure we are following the teachings of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
